The Journal of Environmental Investing (JEI) is an online publication focusing on all topics at the intersection of the environment and investing (www.thejei.com), including

  • Carbon policy
  • Climate bonds
  • Corporate strategy
  • Divestment
  • Energy innovation
  • Forestry and finance
  • Investor case studies
  • Sustainability
  • Water and agriculture

We regularly publish original research, white papers, working papers, reports, and book reviews on all topics related to environmental investing on our website.

We are seeking one person to help us manage all web content. This person would work with the managing editor and director of social media to identify and report relevant original or previously developed content and publish the material on our website. The manager would also maintain the website to ensure it remains fresh and topical.

Because the JEI is a digital publication, the manager is expected to work remotely, with sufficient regular interaction and direction from the editor and managing editor. This is a paid position; the manager will earn $8/hour. Expected time commitment is approximately four to six hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify relevant content for the JEI’s website
  • Add new content to the web; remove or migrate older content
  • Communicate with the managing editor regarding the approval of appropriate content and its placement
  • Coordinate the placement of content with the director of social media
  • Implement established format and style requirements for the content
  • Manage the website to ensure its structure and design meet our internal standards

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with WordPress
  • Strong communication and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with environmental issues a plus but not necessary
